Diary of a Shed - 8 September 2004 < Back    Next >    HOME
For the last few days I've been continuing what I'd already started, and boxing in the remainder of the gable ends. Nothing spectacular to report, except that I did have to pad out the space behind where the boards met the rafters - the rafters were set back slightly so as to rest on the very centre of the vertical supports, so I couldn't nail directly onto them. A few thin battens did the trick (as used for my trellis!). Apart from that, all I can say is that it's looking very neat and tidy and get ready for the custom-built vents because I'll probably be doing those next.

The more I do, the less there is which looks out of place and unfinished. In fact the walls are starting to look very plain indeed, which I suppose can only be a good thing, having covered up all the structural stuff inside.
