Diary of a Shed - 18 July 2004 < Back    Next >    HOME
Told you, it wazzed! But only a bit (more of a piddle than a wazz, for those who know the difference). Unfortunately the bit was when I'd just set up the mitre saw on its table, so I wasn't happy and came back in until a late start at about 5pm. I sacrificed Emmerdale and Coronation Street for the sake of the shed - it's a tough job but it's like the washing up, it's got to be done.

This time I really tried to get some pictures which look like I've done something, but it's not easy because of the limited angle I have. To get a better view I climbed on the earth pile, which now has a spud plant growing out of it - that's what was in the ground the last time something was planted where the shed now is. One more piece and the left side is all done! In case you were wondering, the pieces don't fit 100% perfectly, but they aren't far off and there are surprisingly few gaps, which can be easily smoothed out with wood filler. Off to Wickes to get some in the morning. I'm running out of nails as well so I need another bucket of em - these panels take a vast amount of nails to hold down.

I'm 6'9" and the shed is, well... bigger than that!
