Diary of a Shed - 11 May 2004

The timber arrives! Unfortunately the eagle-eyed among you will be able to tell that this is NOT the correct type of timber. Treated timber is darker and has a greenish tinge to it - I was sent the wrong timber and only realised AFTER I'd lugged it all to the back of the house. I now have to move it all back to the front of the house again ready for it to be picked up and exchanged. And it looks so nice where I've stacked it! Aaaaaaarrrrrrggggggghhhhhh!

First in are dozens of packs of shiplap cladding, all of no use whatsoever for a long time yet, but the 'buy 4 get the 5th free' offer meant saving about 75 quid so it had to be done. This does mean that the kitchen has to be taken over, but luckily it blocks easy passage to the sink - no washing up! Er, hold on, we have a dish washer. Bugger!
