Fundamentalist LDS Church member's request to compel the Washington County Attorney's Office to seek out and provide evidence gathered by various agencies and individuals during the state's investigation of FLDS leader
Warren Jeffs.
Allen Glade Steed, who appeared in court with his parents and Salt Lake City attorney Jim Bradshaw, was
charged in September 2007 with first-degree felony rape a day after
testifying on Jeffs' behalf.

Court rules against dad in faith case: Mormonism not Protestant
A father found in contempt for violating a custody agreement that barred him from promoting
Mormonism to his two sons lost his appeal at the Arkansas Court of Appeals on Wednesday.
Joel Mark Rownak and Lisa Monette Rownak agreed in their 2005 divorce to raise their children “in the Protestant faith.” The decree bars them from promoting another religion without the other’s consent.

B.C. Human Rights Commission rejects Muslim complaint over Maclean’s article
The B.C., Canada, Human Rights Commission has rejected a human rights
complaint against Maclean's magazine that claimed an article about
Islam violated anti-hate laws.
In a ruling released Friday, the commission found the article by Mark Steyn did not violate anti-hate laws or raise hatred against Muslims.

Court won’t allow forced-drugging of accused Elizabeth Smart kidnapper; Feds take up case
Brian David Mitchell, accused in the kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart, does not meet the criteria for forced medication, a 3rd District judge ruled Thursday.
Judge Judith Atherton wrote in a 44-page decision that the likelihood that psychotropic medications would help Mitchell is too low to warrant forcing him to take them.
U.S. District Attorney Brett Tolman subsequently announced Friday that his office has started the process to prosecute Mitchell in federal court.
